Hello, is torpedo evasion cumulative? So, a DD going over 18ts can roll 3 d6? thx

James,

It seems clear in the sentence under 1.4.6 Resolving Attacks, Target Evasion "Roll one evasion D6 for targets steaming at 18+ Kts or two evasion D6s for more agile APD, DD, DM, DMS, TB and submarine targets steaming 18+ Kts" that "more agile" ships like DDs going over 18 kts roll 2D6.  And the first sentence states "The captain of a target steaming 18+ Kts rolls one or two D6s to determine if his ship spots the approaching torpedo wakes in time to attempt to evade."  So a DD going less than 18 kts doesn't get any evasion dice.
