Why aren't the US 16" and 12" shells given separate columns for old and new? The Kriegsmarine gets separate columns for guns that are closer in performance.

The number of gun columns on the national GUNFIRE CRTs was defined by space considerations. It was better to keep the CRTs legible and easy to read. Accordingly, I selected the guns which would be featured in the vast majority of scenarios. That meant a few, like the US WW I vintage 12" gun, didn't make the cut. In other cases, such as the Kriegsmarine, it was important to note the differences in the 11" guns for the Scharnhorst vs the "pcket battleships" and the different performance - and damage effect - of the 5.9" guns mounted by the Narvik class DDs vs. the regular 5.9".
