Here are the Preliminary Event Listings for General Quarters games I am running at this year's Historicon:

It would have fallen to the King Edward-class pre-dreadnoughts to protect the English coast. Can eight pre-dreadnoughts stop three modern German battlecruisers and an armored cruiser? Makes me wonder what ever happened to the campaigns promised in paragraph 4.12 on page 4-14 of the GQ3 rules:"To get you started, we’ve posted two campaigns we enjoyed during play-testing at https://www.odgw.com for your use."• Mare Nostrum• Operation Land CrabNote the past tense "posted".

Both campaigns were in development, but were put on hold so that we can publish "Fleet Action Imminent" by the end of August, and hopefully sooner. The map is finished for Mare Nostrum, and the first batch of charts are ready. Operation Land Crab will follow after that.Do not fear, though both have taken longer than we would have liked, they will be available for purchasers of General Quarters.Cheers,CinC

Now that Historicon is over and it looks like Fleet Action Imminent is probably off to the printers, I was wondering what the plans are to get the campaigns (the Solomons, Mare Nostrum, and Operation Land Crab) posted for download? Also, are there any after action reports from the Historicon campaign games? Thanks,Dave

Ran a battleship game at historicon. The Yamato and Maryland were in the lead and flagships, both had poor gunnery and about half way Yamato received it's first major hit not by a 16" shell but a 5" shell at long range causing a fire which wasn't put out for 3 turns causing two hull boxes to be lost. I like useing fire with or without float planes since WW1 it's been the cause of more ships lost even now anyways I recommend that a ship must be able to penetrate the class it's shooting at whether it can penetrate at that range example 5 - 6" gun will penetrate a maximum of CA armor at close range therefore if firing at a CA or under and there is fire damage it would be 1 Hull if BC or larger then one half hull, An 8" would be BC and under for 1 hull box with BB and above one half boxDon
