I do believe you are correct on this. I will make this correction and post the correct ARC tonight1. On the advanced referance card in the Table' Fire power modifiers to kill Table' there is a malus of -2 for a suppressed stand which you should apply if you want to fire. I presume that this is a typo since suppressed stands may take no action unless the suppression is removed and that you wanted to write ' shaken' units as under the 'Direct fire' table.
This was a design decision which along with the removal of cover fire and the upscaling of infantry stands to squad size were to simplify the infantry rules. The original infantry rules that were pulled from Mein Panzer 1.0 and the infantry stand scaling to 1/2 squad/fire team size stands will be put into Meine Truppen which will lower the scale (ground scale will be approximately 1"=25yds) in general for those who like the higher detail (detailed small arms for each country) without going to skirmish scale and/or wish to use larger scale miniatures. If you liked the penetration rule from the earlier version of the rules you can still use it if you wish.2. Does penetrating fire for machine guns no longer exist? because we couldn't find it in the rules!
The Chapter 10, Artillery, page 10.3, bottom of the 2nd column, Infantry Mortars outlines the definition of Infantry Mortars as such;"Infantry Mortars, in game terms, are defined as being 60mm or less and are rarely formed into batteries. Unlike artillery mortars, these smaller mortars do not require any setup time. In addition, they may be fired Direct or Indirect."Thanks for the questions and I hope this clarifies things for you. :)3. You write that infantry mortars no longer have a beaten zone. Now the question we've had what kind of mortars are considerd infantry mortars. Mortars less than 60 mm or is every mortar can for example even the 81mm or 105 mm of the US army be considerd as infantry mortars due the fact that they are not vehicle mounted and are transported und used by infantry stands.
