I am confused about armour penetration. I can better explain this with an example.I have been playing that the US 8 inch gun penetrates ca armour up to a range of 15000 yards and it starts penetratin cl aromour a 15001 yards. and that it starts penetrating bc armour at 30,000 yards. is this accurate?or is it that it penetrates ca armour through the entire 15000 yard range band up to 17999 yards.

The range noted in each row on the CRT represents the outer edge (or farthest) limit for penetration. Taking your example, the US 8" would penetrate BD from 0 to 6000yds, CA armor from 6001 to 15000yds, CL armor from 15001 to 24000yds and BC armor from 24001 to 30000yds. This also applies to the individual rows for hit probability, so for the US 8" the base (or unmodified) daylight 'to hit' numbers would be 1+ - 3 for 0 to 6000yds, 1+ - 3 for 6001 to 9000yds, 1+ - 2 for 9001 to 12000yds, 1+ for 12001 to 15000yds, 1+ for 15001 to 18000yds, 1+ for 18001 to 21000yds, 1 for 21001 to 24000yds and 1/2 for 24001 to 30000yds.
