Damage from Fires proposal

Currently fires cause 1/2 damage to Hull boxes (full for IJN Long Lance) but it seems that most fires start on the upper deck so would be more likely to affect weaponry than floatation which is allowed for by Bulkhead hits.
My suggestion is that uncontrolled fires spread from the appropriate start point shown on the Damage charts to the next closest armament box (chose randomly if more than one) that box then takes a half hit and if still on fire the next turn it takes a second 1/2 hit knocking it out. Fire then spreads as above to the next nearest location and so on till extinguished or all "deck" boxes are crossed off.

That was considered early on, but the bookkeeping needed (and the problem of determining exactly where such a fire is located) became way too complicated. Also, fires in GQ3 are the nasty, in the structure of the ship type that directly impacts the structural intergrity of the ship. The type of damage you're referring to is covered by hits to the armament itself.Hi all,
