Hi,

Some Italian "Spica" class torpedo boats had two x 18" tubes mounted on each beam - four in total (others had them in twin mounts on the centreline).

They were right on the edge of the deck on swivel mounts.

Does anyone know if they could be launched ahead in the manner of an MTB or PT boat as well as to the beam?

Thanks,

Phil

Afraid not. The mount would not be able to bear forward in the same manner as a MTB or PT due to limitations of the mount and interference by the forward structure.
