Sorry if this is a dumb question, but how much detail does one have to record in the movement plot?
Clearly you must record the speed and number of turns the squadron is to make (so 18 P or whatever).
But is that all you have to record? Do you also have to record where in the move the turn is to be? (e.g. 18 : 5P10 or whatever)?
The simpler version will be an easier sell to players....

Well, the answer depends on the nature of your group. If they're easy going, your simple version should work fine. If you have some rules lawyer types to contend with, then a much more specific system may be needed to keep the peace.
