As I mentioned before, I finally took the plunge on a handful of german and british armor that I thought would fit some scenarios well. Currently, I'm playing against myself with purely tanks working through years of rust on my game knowledge. Your tutorial here has been invaluable. I am going to delve into some of the more advanced stuff soon!

Thanks again. Looking forward to future tutorials. Hopefully I'll be posting up threads with game play in the next 5-6 months!

Thank you very much, Greg!  I'm happy you found my tutorial useful. I am planning to do another tutorial type AAR in a couple of months.  I think I may add some infantry and mortars in that one to explore those rules at least - Infantry and Artillery so everyone (including me) has a basic working knowledge of how those work.  I may do another pure tank engagement again as well.

It has been a couple years since I posted this Tutorial but I thought it needs to be bumped up a bit.

Over the last year, I have been getting a group together(again) here in Arizona to play Mein Panzer after a 5 year hiatus.  The new players that I have seem to like the game as they keep coming back.  Here are a couple pictures from our "Stemming the Tide" scenario set in Russia in August 1943.  This game was played on December 7th at Imperial Outpost Games in Glendale, AZ.  For the full report, see my post under the AARs section of this Forum.

Good stuff, Binpicker!

Please do continue. There is good value (and fun reading) in your tutorial process.

Thank you very much, Mark!

I am looking to do an infantry Tutorial here in the next couple of months.  I will try to cover the basics of the infantry rules and add some direct and indirect fire HE as well.

Well, I still have not gotten around to doing an infantry tutorial .... yet.  I need to get in a solo game to refresh myself with those rules.  I wanted to bump this thread back towards the top.

Meanwhile, here are a couple pictures for the Sand Wars game in June.  I had 4 players for that one and 2 were brand new, 1 hadn't played in a long time and the 4th had 2 previous games under his belt.

Life turning on end and many moves have delayed me ever setting anything up. Looking forward to your infantry AAR/Tutorial! Just got back from the HMGS Historicon Convention and, as usual with cons, it is sparking a fire of motivation under me again.

Hi Greg Mc!

Thank you very much.  I will try to get an infantry tutorial up on this page in a couple of months.

I know it is always inspirational to see some great games being played at a convention.  I remember going to Historicon in the 1990s and early 2000s back when I was traveling a lot.  It was always a great time and seeing my fellow gamers in action.
