The lone Sherman reached the low hill. In desperation the German mortar team targeted it, despite low probability they manage to suppress it. Posted Image

As the Soviet forces in the north break, another platoon of Soviets took up position in a nearby wood to discourage the German’s reinforcing the battle in the South. Posted Image

Overview at the end of the battle – The Germans were all but spent. The Soviets had taken huge casualties but carried the day. Posted Image

Trotsky,Another great AAR! I am astonished at the number of casualties those Germans can take and still stick around. If they were mine, they would have broken and run long ago!I know how much effort it is to put together one of these. Couple of requests, only if you can manage the time:[ol][li]Your suspected/dummy markers — do you have those in a file?[/li][li]Do you have the scenario written up, or was this a pick-up game?[/li][/ol]Thanks again for the photos!Cheers,Gregory

The morale checks in this game were phenomenal, even with the 50% lost modifier squads were shaken but rarely broke. [file name=suspected_enemy_counters.pdf size=155217]https://www.odgw.com/components/com_simpleboard/uploaded/files/suspected_enemy_counters.pdf[/file]

Trotsky,Further on the morale — when you say "phenomenal," are you saying the rolls were lucky? Given Veteran Germans with Morale=15, Recovery=14, a 50% mod would be a 16-20, or p=.25 chance of a Break.Yeah, that has happened in our games. Nobody runs, then everybody does.Cheers,GregoryP.S. Thanks for the counters and scenario!
