Here's a thought.....It doesn't make any sense for a thrown satchel charge to deviate 1", I believe, if you fail the TQ to chuck a backpack full of explosives at a game of 1"=50 yards. Rather, if you fail the TQ to properly place, throw, toss the back pack then just give it a negative modifier against its HE value, thus making it less potent. In the end it may have the same effect of deviating, but it's an easier pill to swallow.How many backpacks have you thrown and they deviated 50 yards?

Looking back at the rules — it looks like it deviates only half an inch. still that's a 25 yard deviation. In any event, if the TQ check fails, just apply the linear modifier from the HE table.Something like that or the standard "-5."

Remember the telescoping scale we use ... so 1" isn't 50 yards.But never mind that ... I still like Sacha's idea!
