How are gunfire hits resolved on ships when the item hit is listed on the Gunfire Damage table doesn't exist?Example - USS Atlanta (CL) takes a hit and resolution on the GF table says "Secondary". However the ships log shows no secondary turret to recieve the hit? How do you score the hit and record the damage? Thanks --Kenny

If the item indicated by the Gunfire Damage Table is not carried by the ship in question, then the hit causes no damage (and is ignored). Think of it as a hit that struck and caused superficial or non-threatening damage (like, say, smacking the daylights out of the Admiral's barge). It hit, but it caused no real damage. In your example, for any secondary hits, Atlanta would receive no damage. BTW, the same applies for hits on already destroyed systems. For example, iin the above case, if Atlanta's main guns had already been destroyed by prior hits and she receives additional hits to the main guns, then those additional hits would be ignored. The idea is, once destroyed, a system can't be further damaged (you'd, basically, be 'bouncing the rubble').How are gunfire hits resolved on ships when the item hit is listed on the Gunfire Damage table doesn't exist?Example - USS Atlanta (CL) takes a hit and resolution on the GF table says "Secondary".
