heheh....

10/12mm (1/144 scale) has lured me away for many years now.... just never got around to catalogue all the 6mm.

I had a plethora of metal minis in 12mm (minifig and pendraken) but sold that off in favor of plastic and 3D printing!!  It's such a game changer (no pun intended) for me!  I usually had to fight to get the right model on the table.   Hated substituting a model and calling it something else.  Now I just print one.   Way cooler.   :)

Here are my finished Tigers.  This is a project that took way too long but I am happy that they are now done.  I have moved on to doing more tanks for my Afrika Korps.

Very nicely done, Peter. I wouldn't want to run into those guys on the table...well, maybe with a Guards Tank Regiment. Probably even up...

Thanks very much, Kenny and Healey.  Now that the Tigers are finally done I will be moving on to some other stuff.  I am currently working on Panzer IIs and IVs and more IIIs for my German North Africa forces.

I am prepping to run a North Africa game at our local Sand Wars Convention in Mesa, AZ in May.

I am adding more Panzers for my Afrika Korps, in this case more Panzer IIs and IVs.  I realized that prior to this, I only had 5 Panzer IIs for the whole battalion and 3 of the short Barreled Panzer IVs.  I added 5 more Panzer IIs and 3 more Panzer IVs in this batch with 4 more Panzer IIs and 3 more Panzer IVF1s currently in the works.

Here are a few pictures.

Pete - Great work on those tanks. "I would be proud to lead those wonderful tanks into battle anywhere, anytime. That is all."

I am prepping for my first "practice" game of Mein Panzer this Saturday at Imperial Outpost games in Glendale.  I have 2 games scheduled this month with the main event, Sand Wars, which will be May 18-19 in Mesa, AZ in the East Valley.

Here are a couple pictures from the game I ran last October at Imperial Outpost.

It is good to be back again.  Sand Wars went well and Mike P. and I had a great game of Cruisin' for a Bruisin' using the Mein Panzer rules.  It was Mike's first game using the rules and he had a great time.  He plans to be back to play again next year.

Meanwhile, I have been adding more vehicles for my Afrika Korps.  I have basically a Panzer Battalion although it is much reduced.  I decided to address the issue and determined I needed more short barreled Panzer IVs and I only had 5 Panzer IIs for the whole battalion.  I rectified this by adding 6 more Panzer IVs and 9 more Panzer IIs.  Now each Kompanie has a reduced platoon of 3 to 4 Panzer IIs.  Here are some pictures of the Panzer IIs.

Those are outstanding; mine will now need to head back to the workbench to made even the slightest bit comparable.

I added 6 GHQ Panzer IIIs to my 3rd Company today.  This is just more than double what I had already which was 5 Panzer IIIs for the whole Company.  I am working on some more to add later.

Here are a few pictures.

Thank you very much, Healey!  It is hard to believe that I have been painting these things for over 40 years now.  My basic overall technique has not really changed since 1989 when I got serious about painting the details and added the wash.  Much of that is the basic GHQ method of painting at the time.  Since then, I have learned more things and added them in to the way I do things.

One of these days I'm going to sit down and make an effort to paint something that even remotely looks like your stuff, Peter. Just terrific!

Thank you very much, Healey!  I have decided on my next project.  Trying to whittle down the pile of shame, so to speak, I am now working on finishing up my Italian M-13/40 Company for North Africa.

Here is a picture of the 5 that I painted a couple of years ago.

"...the pile of shame..."

That's a great turn of phrase, Pete.

Like the M-13s.  Would be interested to see them close by some of your German tanks, to see the differences in the sand colors you've chosen.

Hi Mark

Great to hear from you!  I did not invent the phrase "Pile of Shame" to give full disclosure here.  I am happy to use it though and have lots of things still on nails for years awaiting their turn.

That is an interesting request but I will get some pictures of one of my painted M-13/40s next to a couple of Panzer IIIs in my version of RAL 8000 and RAL 8020.  For my Italians, I have settled on Humbrol #94 Brown Yellow while the Germans in RAL 8000 are Humbrol #93 Desert Yellow and the RAL 8020 color is a mix of #94 Brown Yellow, #61 Flesh, and #34 Matte White.  I will work on getting some pictures up here soon.
